GYPSOL TimBRE

Gypsol TimBRE was formulated as a multi-purpose screeding solution, especially for use over timber substrates. Gypsol TimBRE is a free-flowing, and self-compacting screed which you can use in various applications including both commercial and domestic projects. Our customers use the product to produce a smooth, flat and level floor to form the subbase for subsequent floor coverings for internal floors in a large variety of constructions where they form the substrate using timber.

GYPSOL TimBRE

A MULTI-PURPOSE SCREEDING SOLUTION

Gypsol TimBRE is a free-flowing, and self-compacting screed which you can use in various applications including both commercial and domestic projects. Our customers use the product to produce a smooth, flat and level floor to form the sub-base for subsequent floor coverings for internal floors in a large variety of constructions where they form the substrate using timber.

Our customers are specially trained Screeders who pump the screed into place by using specialised equipment. Because our Gypsol TimBRE offers a concrete feel to a timber floor, it eliminates issues with creaking and imparts excellent acoustic and thermal properties to the floor.

PRODUCT DETAILS

We manufacture Gypsol TimBRE to exacting standards in quality-assured Readymix facilities throughout the UK. Besides, it is also available in specific locations from volumetric on-site mixing systems. The Gypsol TimBRE screed offers the user a simple and effective floor screeding solution for floating or un-bonded floors over a timber substrate. You can do this in both full timber frame or masonry construction.  You should make the Gypsol screed from high-quality Gypsol anhydrite binder, specially selected sands and clean water.

OUR SERVICES

THE BENEFITS

Using Gypsol TimBRE will benefit your screed floor because of:

  • Rapid application
  • Eliminates creaky timber floors
  • Concrete feel to a timber floor
  • Allows lean construction (18mm OSB or similar board supported by minimum 220mm deep I-Joists or similar at maximum 600mm centres and 4.8m clear spans)

Note: A structural engineer should always be consulted to ensure that the sub-base is suitable to receive the added mass of the screed.

  • Thin Screed sections (40mm Floating Commercial, 35mm Floating Domestic, 30mm un-bonded, 25mm cover to underfloor heating pipes
  • Fast drying (28 days natural drying*, 13 days forced drying*). You can also use the Gypsol TimBRE with our Gypsol Rapide fast-drying additive offering a drying time of just 14 days at 50mm depth.

*Independently tested and based on 50mm depth at 20˚C and 60% RH. For your convenience, we have all the test data available on request.

  • Rapid commissioning of underfloor heating (underfloor heating can be commissioned and run after only seven days)
  • No reinforcement nor fibres required
  • No curing agents required
  • Low Carbon Footprint (just 26.26kg per tonne of material manufactured saving up to 94% CO2 compared to a cement-based screed)
  • Fully self-compacting and high density (offers 80kg/m2 density at just 40mm, suitable for Acoustic Design, robust Detail E-FT-4
  • Rapid return to service of work areas, foot traffic after only 48 hours (full loading after just seven days)
  • Assured high strength
  • Minimum Ca-C35-F6
